• Mayor: January 2006 to present
• President of the Snoqualmie Valley Governments Association: 2006/2007 and 2008/2009
• City Council, Position #1: January 2002 through 2005
• Mayor Pro-tem for two years, 2004 and 2005
• Planning Commission: summer 2000 to December 2001 (Chairman for one year)
• Parks Board: fall 1999 to summer of 2000
• Advanced Certified Municipal Leader by the Association of Washington Cities
• Member of the King County Flood Control District Advisory Board
