My wife and I have been married for nearly 25 years, and have lived in Snoqualmie for ten years and in Washington State for 23. We are blessed with four wonderful and very active children. Fifteen members of my immediate and extended family reside in Snoqualmie. I also spent five years directing a large junior and senior high youth program many years ago. Consequently, I am very aware of the amenities and resources required to support and protect your children and family.
Prior to serving as mayor, I ran a small business designing and drafting homes. This background has given me a unique perspective on city planning, possible private/public partnerships and the struggles of local small business and non-profit organizations.
I grew up in a large military family of six kids living throughout the U.S. and abroad. This experience taught me to cherish family, value service to my community and not to fear change. My wife and I consider Snoqualmie to be the most exceptional place we have ever lived.
In 1984, I graduated from St. John’s University in Minnesota. Most recently, the Association of Washington Cities recognized me as an Advanced Certified Municipal Leader. Please refer to my municipal experience on my home page to review my service to you during the past ten years.
